International Air Transport Association - Year 2000 Page "A particular focus will be the extent to which the industry’s need for "compliance" extends far beyond the airlines themselves to encompass all business partners and service suppliers, including airports, air traffic control systems and ground services. In this context, IATA is currently in detailed discussions with the Air Transport Association of America (ATA) to pursue a joint programme to assess the preparedness of key suppliers to the airline industry, including airports and government agencies."

United States - Federal Aviation Administration Year 2000 Program Office "The Year 2000 challenges facing the international aviation community are formidable. There are several global systems requiring evaluation for Year 2000 repairs, including global air traffic management systems, avionics, data exchange systems, airport infrastructure and security systems, and those systems used by associated service suppliers. Global coordination in confronting these challenges is a necessity. The FAA is working with the international community to help create awareness, to encourage cooperative efforts in addressing the Year 2000 issues, and to expedite the international planning necessary to ensure public safety worldwide.
